Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable shop hand to join our team. A shop hand performs a variety of physical and mechanical tasks in support of daily operations. This position assists with the cleaning, inspection, maintenance, repair, rebuilding, testing, and preparation of equipment used in oilfield operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, mechanically inclined, and willing to work in a hands-on environment. Duties and Responsibilities Clean, inspect, repair, rebuild, operate, test, and troubleshoot oilfield equipment. Perform painting, pressure washing, pressure testing, welding, and general mechanical repairs. Monitor, evaluate, and adjust processes and equipment to maximize quality, safety, and efficiency. Operate equipment, tools, and materials in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety requirements. Complete required records, maintenance reports, inspections, and other documentation accurately and timely. Operate heavy machinery and shop equipment as needed. Assist mechanics, welders, and other shop personnel with maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and equipment preparation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop, yard, and work area. Perform general housekeeping and ground maintenance. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable OSHA requirements. Report equipment problems, safety concerns, and maintenance needs to management. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Participate in an on-call rotation as scheduled. Field service calls may be required based on operational needs. Additional compensation is provided for qualifying field service calls. Qualifications Previous shop, mechanical, oilfield, or industrial experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Basic mechanical repair skills preferred. Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and heavy machinery. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively with limited supervision. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. Must possess a current, valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving history. Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to lift and/or push objects weighing 50+ lbs. frequently . Ability to climb and work in awkward or cramped positions occasionally. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods on concrete and uneven surfaces. Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Work environment may include exposure to bright lights, loud noise, dust, gases, fumes, and other industrial conditions. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Pay:
$18.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 80.0 per week
