Shift is from 7pm-5am. Up to 6 days a week. Must be available for weekends
Job Summary:
Under general supervision builds, maintains and repairs production packaging and bulk load out equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
Participates actively in safety and skills training in pursuit of personal improvement Maintains a thorough knowledge of production processes, equipment and operations in the interest of diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions Performs preventive maintenance duties on equipment as required and maintains a competent knowledge of equipment, operations and processes throughout the plant Disassembles and diagnoses mechanical failures and performs repairs on production and facilities equipment as required Installs new equipment as required, aligns, rebuilds and performs preventative maintenance duties as necessary Possess general computer use knowledge Maintains manuals of replacement parts, specifications, blueprints of equipment and maintenance requirements to facilitate repairs also maintains such files and records in an orderly manner for future reference Performs welding or general maintenance duties as required in repairing production equipment May provide work direction to less experienced Maintenance Technicians as required Documents time spent, work performed, and parts used on projects by completing time records through use of the Maintenance Management System Conducts regular inspections of tools, safety and production equipment Develops and maintains knowledge of hand and power tools used in the repair and maintenance of plant equipment Good regular and prompt attendance record May perform reasonably similar or related duties as required. Assists in keeping the department in tour ready condition.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Prefer a minimum of 1-3 years of Industrial or commercial mechanical experience and/or two (2) year degree Preference will be given to candidate with mechanical experience in a fast paced packaging environment Must successfully complete all ADM Safety Certification requirements Good regular and prompt attendance history Excellent safety record and awareness Previous plant/process experience Experience in any of the following areas is a preferred: Welding (Certification) Metal fabrication Mechanical Auto/Diesel Machinist Millwright (setting up and aligning new equipment) Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Mobile Equipment (forklift or manlift) Rigging, chokers and slings
Additional Skills:
Good organizational and communication skills, and must be self-motivated Ability to work well with others and with little supervision
  • (Required) Willingness to assume and learn new responsibilities Housekeeping and sanitation skills (MSS) Willingness to work overtime when necessary Attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills
Working Conditions:
Off shift, 1900-0500 (7pm-5am) May be called in to work unusual or extended schedules due to equipment breakdowns or similar circumstances Working with numerous types of machines and processes Indoor and outdoor Climbing stairs frequently Lifting Working from heights

111529BR Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. The pay for this position is expected to be: $28
