POSITION OVERVIEW
Millwright Mechanic Starting Pay:
$34.43 $37.31/hour after 6 months Additional $.35 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift Additional $.41 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift Overtime Pay Time worked after 8 hours of work is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked over 40 hours in a work week is 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked on Saturday is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked on Sunday is paid at 2 times (double pay) regular rate of pay Holiday pay (if eligible for holiday pay and holiday is worked, 2x double pay + holiday pay) Why Join Our Team Located in a large metropolitan city with a lot to offer, our Cincinnati manufacturing site is the sole source for many of the products made here, so you know where the product is coming from when you see it in store! Your Work Schedule and Shift Information 8-hour shifts, 7 days a week•Currently hiring for 2nd and/or 3rd shift 1st shift: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm 2nd shift: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm 3rd shift: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
As part of our manufacturing team, you will: Working safely while resolving equipment issues Troubleshooting and repairing all kinds of processing and packaging equipment Identifying and resolving mechanical defects and developing issues that will lead to equipment breakdown Providing technical support for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modifications Participating in Root Cause Analysis to help prevent recurrence of equipment failures Performing both uptime and downtime preventative maintenance Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase equipment performance Perform quality and safety checks Participates in continuous improvement initiatives Assist in training new employees
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment is required Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment•PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required) Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens All employees must go through a forklift certification course and are required to drive a forklift
