This role plays a key part in keeping production running efficiently while minimizing downtime through strong troubleshooting and repair skills. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing equipment Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on extrusion equipment and support systems Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs, electrical controls, motors, sensors, and related systems Install, modify, and maintain plant equipment and machinery Set up barrels, screws, and production equipment for extrusion runs Support material conveying, chilled water, process water, and compressed air systems Complete equipment rebuilds and component repairs as needed Install power and wiring for equipment upgrades and new installations Document equipment modifications, repairs, and maintenance activity Utilize CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and work orders Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and maintenance best practices Work independently with minimal supervision while supporting production goals Qualifications Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting background Experience working with 3-phase, 480V electrical systems required PLC troubleshooting experience preferred Experience with extrusion or blending equipment is a plus Familiarity with CMMS systems Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles preferred Ability to work at elevated heights and in an industrial environment Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active role Work Environment This position works in a fast-paced manufacturing facility with large industrial machinery and varying temperatures depending on seasonal conditions.
