Required Qualifications High school diploma or GEDWilling and able to work overtime, weekends, on-call and rotating shifts, and holidaysExperience with reading blueprints and precision measurementsTroubleshooting experienceExperience using a computer for record keeping and documentationAble to work in extreme heat/cold, navigate catwalks and ladders - physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stair, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping and bendingAbility to communicate effectively and constructivelyComprehension of complex work instructions and documentationAbility to work with mathematical concepts in an industrial environmentBasic trade skills in industrial equipment repair and execution of routine preventative maintenance of heavy industrial equipmentKnowledge of Mig, Tig and Arc weldingMachinist training and experienceStable employment history with a minimum two years of experience in Industrial Maintenance work OR equivalent education to include vocation/technical school certificateA personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulationsKnowledge of bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installationsKnowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systemsBasic knowledge of metal fabricationBasic knowledge of cylinder repairWorking knowledge of basic industrial electricity issuesModels company core values Preferred Qualifications Vocational or technical school certificate in related areaPast employment experience in manufacturing environmentPast employment in a plywood or veneer manufacturing facilityExperience with CMMSKnowledge of fire protection systemsProficient in the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and test instrumentsExperienced in pneumatic, hydraulic and conveyor systemsExcellent skills in root cause analysisSkilled in all aspects of mechanical maintenanceTeam orientedWilling and able to learn new jobs and skills
