In this position, you will be responsible for participating in a variety of excavation projects. You will use a wide range of tools and equipment, and will have to work outdoors in a mixture of weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

Operate equipment such as excavation and descaling Prepare at the work site each day by preparing materials, tools, and equipment Complete previous projects or receive new project instructions from manager Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasks Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment Ensure regulated and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner Prepare new sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting space as needed Provide assistance to contractors (i.e. craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed Train on experienced tasks and learn new tasks from coworkers Clean and clear debris Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly

Compensation Commission Rate:

18%-20% , based on performance

Commission Earnings:

Typical commissions range from approximately $315-$350+ per dig , depending on performance

Bonus Opportunities:

Annual safety bonus based on achievement of specific safety and performance KPIs Commission and bonus earnings are performance-based and not guaranteed. CDL preferred (not required) - -

CDL Drivers:

No overnights or out of town travel Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 80 pounds Able to work independently or as an active member of a team Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management Prior experience in excavation, trenching, or underground utility work preferred Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and excavation best practices Ability to read and interpret job site plans, blueprints, and utility markings
