Job Description

Job Overview HM Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Journeyman Millwright to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical systems and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of machinery and production processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations. Responsibilities Install, align, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and precision measuring instruments. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and high-voltage electrical components. Use specialized tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues in low voltage and high voltage systems. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately identify problem areas and implement effective solutions. Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated machinery or components for maintenance or repairs. Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades or modifications involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician work, or mechanical adjustments. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), ensuring accurate tracking of work orders and parts inventory. Support safety protocols by adhering to lockout/tagout procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards including high voltage handling. Skills Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities with strong mechanical knowledge of industrial systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, low voltage electrical circuits, and high voltage electrical components. Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Hands-on experience with welding techniques including <

> welding methods for metal fabrication or repairs. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial maintenance practices, and CMMS software for maintenance tracking. Ability to operate scissor lifts safely for elevated work tasks in a manufacturing environment. Strong customer service orientation with excellent analysis skills to diagnose issues quickly and efficiently. Knowledge of industrial electrician standards combined with field service experience in industrial settings. Effective communication skills in English to collaborate across teams and document technical procedures clearly. Experience working within military or industrial mechanic environments is considered an asset.
