Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Millwright/Welder/Fabricator to join our field / shop crew. This role combines mechanical installation, maintenance, fabrication, rigging and welding experience to ensure the safe and efficient operation of industrial equipment and structures. The ideal person will work in all kinds of environments. They must demonstrate strong technical skills, be safety conscious, and be professional. This position offers a chance to develop your skills while contributing to an already great team of guys. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation, repair, and fabrication tasks Perform metal fabrication using sheet metal, ductwork, and other materials in accordance with AWS standards and ASME codes Execute welding operations including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) on diverse metal materials Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and schematics to ensure precise fabrication and assembly Operate power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and rigging equipment safely and efficiently Conduct pipe threading, assembly, installation of ductwork, and mechanical fabrication tasks on construction sites or in shop environments Adhere strictly to safety protocols while working with heavy machinery like cranes and forklifts; maintain a clean and safe work area at all times Requirements Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols Demonstrated welding expertise across multiple techniques including
MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW
; familiarity with AWS standards preferred Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures; basic math skills for shop math calculations Mechanical knowledge of machinery assembly, metal fabrication processes, pipe threading, rigging, and machining techniques Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and ductwork installation in manufacturing or construction environments Familiarity with power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and soldering techniques Ability to operate forklifts, telehandlers, scissorlifts, boomlifts safely. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately Commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times; ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding settings Join us in delivering good quality work through dedication and safety!
