Job Description

With over 70 years of experience in wire and wire cloth products, Gerard Daniel Worldwide's sales teams and applications engineers collaborate with our customers to create solutions to their manufacturing and supply chain challenges. Being involved in a wide range of industries, including aerospace, vehicles, clean energy, pharmaceutical, oil, gas, mining, and industrial applications We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Weaving Mechanic to join our production team. This role is responsible for setup, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of weaving machinery to ensure high-quality production. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and the ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and overhauls on weaving machinery Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on weaving machinery Set up weaving machinery according to production specifications Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and product quality Fix weaving wire upsets to get looms back up and running Accurately complete maintenance logs and records Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Basic reading, writing and math skills Ability to perform computer tasks Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to tolerate exposure to hot, oily, and noisy environment Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. frequently, with or without lifting equipment Previous Industrial maintenance experience a plus
