We are currently looking for a Maintenance Journeyman (Industrial Manufacturing) to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. The Maintenance Journeyman will be responsible for managing the inventory, distribution, and maintenance of tools and consumables in the tool room. This role ensures tools and materials are available for shop personnel, maintained in good condition, properly repaired, and tracked accurately. The attendant works closely with various teams to meet operational needs and adhere to procedures for handling maintenance of tools and consumables. This position is required to work 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday, 4pm - 2:30am EST.) What You Will Be Doing Safety Conduct routine tool & equipment inspections Coordinate with vendors to make sure equipment and tools are maintained properly Perform EB equipment calibrations Inventory Management and tool maintenance: Track inventory of welding & heating Equipment Order repair parts, hoses, and cables Maintain/Repair EB welding/stud welding equipment Maintain/Repair fume extractors, heating equipment, breathing air systems, plasma, and carbon arc equipment Maintain and repair cutting/grinding and scaling equipment welding/heating harness, Air/Oxygen/Acetylene Hoses, and pneumatic tools Prepare equipment and tools that are unable to be prepared in house and manage outgoing shipments. Tool & Consumable Issuance and Return Track repairs on all equipment and tools Back up support for the distribution of tools and wire/consumables to employees Your Background High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of post-secondary trade school preferred. Previous experience in inventory management, tool room operations, or a related field At least three years prior mechanical experience or skills for tool maintenance & equipment repairs performed in industrial settings such as welding equipment, pneumatic tools, and electrical tooling Knowledge of various welding, grinding, heating, and pneumatic equipment & tools Must be able to work in a team environment Must be self-motivated Requires a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and record-keeping skills Must require three years forklift experience Must be able to pass a 7 year background check Must be a US citizen Must be able to meet background requirements and pass 10 panel drug test Must posses a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record Must be able to work 2nd shift schedule The Work Environment At Rhoads Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time Ability to lift 75lbs The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.
