Type:

full-time Sojo Industries is seeking a skilled and proactive Automation Technician to support our industrial machinery and warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment uptime by performing preventative maintenance (PM), routine troubleshooting, and electromechanical repairs. You will also manage general facility maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive working environment. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Performs maintenance and repairs (M&R) on electromechanical packaging machines, air compressors, tray formers and other related equipment Evaluate equipment failures for root cause and work with manager and coworkers to find better improvements for equipment Install modifications to equipment as instructed by manager Follow PM schedules and procedures, recording all relevant information Install replacement and upgraded equipment on machines Lubricate, clean and service equipment Maintain M&R records as directed Maintains a safe, clean working area All other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements 3-5 years of proven experience as a plant mechanic or industrial maintenance technician Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with welding and metal fabrication are preferred Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair experience is highly preferred Solid understanding of industrial safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, MSHA.) Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs independently, and heavier loads with mechanical assistance or team lifts. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling to access and service complex machinery. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, or scaffolding and work at heights; ability to reach overhead and extend arms to perform repairs. Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills required to handle small parts, operate hand/power tools, perform stick welding, and wire electrical components. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision (critical for electrical wiring), depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Hearing capability to detect machine anomalies or alarms. Comfort working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment which may involve exposure to noise, heat, cold, dust, vibrations, moving mechanical parts, and fumes from welding or fabrication.
