Position Summary:
The Facilities Technician will be an integral part of the facilities team. Maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and improving production equipment are a few of the responsibilities of the technician. This position will also support IQ activities, and modulations designed to improve quality, productivity, and safety.Key Responsibilities:
New equipment installations, debugging and IQ for release to production. Installation and startup of various equipment. Troubleshooting all facility equipment. Assist Senior Facilities Manager on planning projects and implementation. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and written instructions as necessary to complete assigned tasks. Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance shop equipment. Ability to use a cutting torch and welding. Perform Millwright discipline. Knowledge of OSHA 10 program. Install, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems and components. Perform all preventative maintenance and housekeeping as needed. Direct contact with all outside contractors and schedule PM's and repairs.Must Have:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Enhanced ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Basic understanding of keyboard and other computer components.Good to have:
