Job Description

Job Title:
Millwright Job Description This role oversees mechanical maintenance activities including machine breakdowns, installations, preventative maintenance, and new construction work. The Millwright leads a team of technicians, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance and repair of gears, bearings, valves, and related mechanical systems. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee troubleshooting and repair of machine breakdowns to minimize downtime. Plan, organize, and direct the installation of machinery and equipment. Manage and perform preventative maintenance (PM) on machines and mechanical systems to ensure reliable operation. Oversee maintenance and repair of gears, bearings, valves, and other critical mechanical components. Support and supervise mechanical work related to new construction and equipment upgrades. Ensure all work follows safety standards, company procedures, and quality requirements. Communicate job expectations, assign tasks, and monitor progress of maintenance activities. Collaborate with other trades and departments to schedule work and coordinate projects. Document maintenance activities, issues, and resolutions as required. Essential Skills Proven experience in mechanical maintenance in an industrial or construction environment. Strong hands-on experience with machine breakdown troubleshooting and repair. Solid background in preventative maintenance for mechanical systems and equipment. Proficiency working with gears, bearings, valves, and related mechanical components. Experience leading or supervising other maintenance or millwright personnel. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret mechanical information. Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to maintenance procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications PLC experience is a plus. Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical and instrumentation (E&I) is preferred. Experience in construction-related mechanical work is beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
