Job Description

Job Overview Trades Exchange (TEX) is seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Millwright Foreman for a full-time opportunity in Cleveland, TN . This is a hands-on leadership position focused primarily on the installation, dismantling, relocation, alignment, maintenance, and repair of machinery and heavy industrial equipment . This is a multi-craft environment, so candidates should also be comfortable assisting with related work involving pipefitting, welding, rigging, sheet metal, mechanical work, and other industrial trades as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong millwright experience, proven leadership ability, and the ability to oversee a crew while remaining actively involved in the work. Responsibilities Determine work schedules, job sequences, priorities, and crew assignments Supervise and direct daily work activities for crews of approximately 1 to 12 employees Monitor employee productivity, workmanship, and overall job performance Train, mentor, and coach employees on job skills, safety procedures, and equipment use Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layout plans, and rigging plans Dismantle, move, assemble, install, align, and repair machinery and industrial equipment Move heavy machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers, airbags, forklifts, and other equipment Install equipment including conveyors, shafting, and related machinery systems Build and prepare machinery foundations as required Shim, level, align, and adjust machinery to required tolerances and clearances Use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, jacks, hoists, squares, micrometers, and plumb bobs Bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise secure equipment to foundations or supporting structures Repair, service, and lubricate machinery and equipment Use hand tools, power tools, torches, and welding equipment Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts Monitor jobsite tool and parts inventory and equipment condition Maintain accurate records related to labor hours, equipment, inventory, repairs, and maintenance Report accidents, near misses, injuries, and employee-related concerns to appropriate supervision Support additional multi-craft work including millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, rigging, sheet metal, and mechanical projects Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred 4-5 years of related millwright experience and/or training Previous experience leading or directing crews strongly preferred Strong hands-on experience installing, dismantling, moving, aligning, and repairing industrial machinery Ability to read blueprints, schematics, layouts, and technical drawings Experience with rigging and heavy machinery movement Experience using precision measuring and alignment tools Experience with hand tools, power tools, torches, and welding equipment Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts preferred Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to train, mentor, and direct employees in a field environment Comfortable working in a multi-craft industrial construction environment Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds Must be comfortable working around moving equipment, elevated areas, outdoor conditions, heat, fumes, vibration, and other industrial jobsite conditions This is a strong opportunity for an experienced millwright who is ready to take on a leadership role while remaining hands-on in the field.
