Position:
Technical Operator Pay:
$20.50 + $1/hr 2nd Shift Premium Schedule Monday through Thursday 3pm-1:30am Flexibility is a must
  • hours subject to change based on production needs Job Summary Asist the maintenance team in keeping machines, equipment, and facility structures clean and in proper working condition.
Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of production equipment, including horizontal and vertical wire cutters, wrappers, and grinders. Support Machine Operators with changeovers, wire setup, lockout/tagout procedures, and other maintenance tasks as needed. Also assist with troubleshooting equipment issues during production runs. Responsibilities Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of the buildings does not deteriorate. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment. Escalate issues to Leadership as appropriate Comply with legal, environmental, and safety requirements of the area. Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control. Know the environmental impacts associated with your activities. Follow all Environmental and Safety policies. Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs. Assists with Machine Operation as needed Other duties as assigned Physical Demands Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity. Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Qualifications Basic technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.) Previous experience repairing machinery Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills An eye for detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High school diploma: Degree from a vocational school will be a plus Benefits We believe in taking care of the people who take care of our customers.
