About Us We are a fast-paced rotating equipment repair shop specializing in the repair, rebuild, and machining of industrial pumps, compressors, gearboxes, blowers, and other rotating equipment for customers across multiple industries. We are looking for a skilled Rotating Equipment Mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship and precision repairs. Job Summary The Rotating Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and reassembling a variety of rotating equipment in a shop environment. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Disassemble and inspect pumps, compressors, blowers, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment. Identify failed or worn components and recommend repairs. Perform rebuilds and repairs according to OEM specifications. Measure and inspect parts using precision tools including: Micrometers Dial indicators Calipers Bore gauges Install bearings, seals, sleeves, couplings, and shafts. Perform shaft alignment and equipment setup. Read and interpret blueprints, repair procedures, and technical drawings. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Complete repair documentation and inspection reports. Follow all shop safety procedures and quality standards. Qualifications 3+ years of experience repairing rotating equipment in a shop or industrial environment preferred. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Experience with centrifugal pumps and industrial equipment repairs. Ability to read mechanical drawings and OEM manuals. Basic rigging and shop equipment experience preferred. Welding or machining experience is a plus. High school diploma or GED required. Preferred Experience Pump repair and rebuild experience. Mechanical seal installation. Bearing fitting and shaft repair. Experience working in a repair shop or machine shop environment. Knowledge of API standards and tolerances. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods. Comfortable working around shop equipment and machinery. Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
