Tank Welder Helper

Role Overview:
Assist tank welder and mechanics with pressure testing, drying out tanks, repair tank containers and buffing inside of tank as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
Pressure test tanks, drain and dry out tanks Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets, and gauges Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts Lubricate and clean parts Operate lathe, drill press and grinders Use hand tools and power tools Buff Tanks as needed
Qualifications:
Candidates will possess a mechanical background Possess good communication skills (verbal and written) Detailed oriented Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
Starting Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Location:
16230 De Zavalla Road, Channelview, TX 77530
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
