Machine Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician for our Injection Molding department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and continuous operation of our injection molding machines and supporting equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on experience with injection molding equipment, and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular preventative maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on injection molding machines and related systems. Assist in setup and changeovers of molds and tooling, ensuring machines are properly calibrated and prepared for production. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process-related problems in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with production and quality control teams to ensure that all equipment is operating within specifications. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and repairs. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery. Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of critical components. Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Provide technical support and training to other team members as required.
Qualifications:
Proven experience (2+ years) in maintenance within an injection molding environment. Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills (hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge is a plus). Familiarity with injection molding processes, machines, and tooling. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures. Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Capable of working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise and temperature variations. Mon-Fri 8-5 Pay $16.00 to $25.00 (Pay depends on experience) Company has benefits
