Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future The Mechanical Technician, Panhandle Midstream performs complex mechanical functions and duties including inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing mechanical equipment to maintain safe and reliable equipment performance. This position can be based out of Perryton or Canadian, TX, maintaining assets across the region. •This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. What You'll Do Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, compressors and associated components, such as compressor valves, spark plugs, cooling and lubrication systems (auxiliary)
Perform overhaul of compressors and engines/engine swings, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup
Ensure the safe, effective and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities in accordance with Company standards and regulatory guidelines
Comply with company policies, procedures and directives
Perform work on air pollution control equipment
Perform required preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
Identify maintenance work and initiating work requests
Drive a company owned vehicle within assigned area
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems
Provides Quality Assurance/Quality Control over 3rd Party contractors performing major maintenance What You'll Bring - Required Legally authorized to work in the United States
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Currently live, or willing to relocate if selected, within 30 miles of one of the reporting locations (Spearman, Perryton, Canadian, or Booker, TX)
Willing and able to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: Work extended hours which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays AND be available for callout
Work either inside or outside in conditions that may include heat, humidity, or other inclement weather.
Climb various stairs and ladders, including A-frame
Frequently lift and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds
Push/pull forces up to 130 pounds
Regularly walk, stand, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch for durations of up to 3 minutes
Wear personal protective equipment, such as flame-retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, etc.
Safely work around various types of rotating or moving equipment What Makes You Stand Out - Preferred 3 or more years of experience in oil and gas operations specializing in mechanical maintenance Compensation Range This position has a base salary range of $65,000 - $105,820.
