What to Expect Tesla is seeking a highly motivated, "hands-on" individual to join the Maintenance Team for a novel Lithium Refinery near Corpus Christi, TX. As a Millwright, you will interface closely with the Production & Reliability teams to execute rotating equipment repairs while also supporting equipment preservation, improvements, and preventative maintenance activities as we stabilize and optimize production. In support of this 24/7 operation, you will be periodically on-call and may be required to occasionally work nights and weekends. Competitive pay rate selected based on relevant experience; overtime available as driven by business need. What You'll Do
Provide hands-on machinery support for a variety of equipment across the site, including pumps, compressors, conveyors, fans, mixers, centrifuges, and blowers
Populate Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) with detailed records of work performed, including photos and as-found / as-left conditions
Work closely with vendors and third-party suppliers on the commissioning, start-up, and stabilization of machinery
Support root-cause investigations and the development of risk-based, cost-effective solutions to prevent recurrence
Perform a variety of equipment health monitoring tasks, including vibration monitoring, oil sampling, and other high frequency PMs
Provide break-in support as needed to resolve machinery issues, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Be resourceful and get the job done under pressure or tight timelines while maintaining a positive attitude and working effectively within a team environment What You'll Bring
Minimum 3+ years (5+ preferred) of related work experience as an Industrial Millwright/Machinist, with the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively under break-in pressure, and communicate clearly with Operations.
Proven experience in precision mechanical assembly and maintenance, including laser alignment, bearing fits, mechanical seals, and lubrication practices, with the ability to interpret engineering and mechanical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate execution
Demonstrated ability to follow and enforce safety rules and regulations
Familiar with basic operation of machine shop equipment (lathe/mill/surface grinder)
Proficient in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, gages) to 0.0005", and experienced in vibration monitoring and oil analysis for proactive equipment health assessment
NCCER or equivalent craft certifications (plus, not required)
Chemical plant, refinery, minerals processing, or similar continuous-process background Compensation and Benefits
