Job Description

Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview Responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in the facility. Works closely with the department Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, Maintenance Coordinators, Mill techs, Electricians, Shift Supervisors, and Operators to drive the department production goals. Focus will be on safety and assisting operations as needed to ensure uptime and reliability. Responsibilities Starting Position with a Goal of Transitioning to Shift Work Maintain a safe work environment Good communication skills with an ability to work in a team environment Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and repair React to emergency breakdowns Qualifications Must have a good understanding of TCOS "Take Control of Safety" and what it means to you. Previous mechanical maintenance experience, 4 years minimum Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, grease systems, gearing, gear/shaft alignment, rigging, bearings, couplings, and precision measuring instruments Fabrication skills that include torching, welding, and blueprint reading
Preferred:
Sheet Cold Mill experience Proficient in comprehending hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams. Computer skills to include Word, Excel, and AutoCAD Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
