Job Description

The Baillie Group is a cohesive, unified group of hardwood producers working cooperatively together with each retaining their distinctive and valued cultural identities. AHI, a member of The Baillie Group, is recruiting for a Millwright; this position would require some travel, but will be based in our West Point, VA location. We are searching for a qualified individual who has experience with industrial equipment repairs. This is a full time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer.
Millwright Responsibilities:
Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation Build foundation for machines Construct and install equipment Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics and blueprints Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance Grind and file machinery parts Fabrication of both buildings and hardwood drying equipment, including servicing and replacing dry lines, kilns, etc. Work with range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and metal fabrication equipment Follow all safety guidelines, policies and procedures Traveling as needed.
Millwright Qualifications:
GED/High School Degree Preferred and an accredited Millwright certificate preferred Minimum of at least 5 years experience as a Millwright or similar job Experience with Cleereman, PHL and other hardwood specialty equipment manufacturers preferred Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and must be able to interface and communicate Ability to work independently Ability to travel Must have a valid Driver's License, a clean driving record, and the ability to rent vehicles in your name
