Millwright - Hoquiam Plywood - Willis Enterprises, Inc. Hoquiam, WA (Grays Harbor County) Swing Shift Willis Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a skilled Millwright for our Hoquiam Plywood facility. This role supports maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment used in plywood manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced wood products environment. Job Summary The Swing Shift Millwright is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous mill operations. This includes mechanical systems, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment used in veneer and plywood production. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mill equipment and systems Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues Repair and align conveyors, motors, bearings, pumps, and gearboxes Fabricate and install equipment components as needed Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Follow all plant safety policies and OSHA requirements Participate in lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and hot work protocols Support production uptime and minimize equipment downtime Qualifications Prior experience as a Millwright or industrial maintenance mechanic (wood products industry preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electrical basics Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a mill environment (dust, noise, heat/cold conditions) Must be able to lift, climb, bend, and perform physical labor as required Safety Expectations Safety is a core requirement of this role.
