Job Description

ABM Equipment is an established equipment supplier looking for a Lead Installer with welding experience to join our team. Applicants must have experience with MIG and TIG welding mild steel and stainless is a plus. Our ideal applicant will be able to read shop plans, work independently and is familiar with a variety of tools and machinery. A good driving record is required as this position will at times require you to drive company vehicles. Able to spend time in the field on installations. Between 25% to 75% travel is required, both in and out of state. Ability to travel both via plane or via company vehicle. Attitude is important to us. While the ability to work independently is desired we also need someone who can be a team player. Our ideal applicant understands the importance of punctuality, has reliable transportation and is willing to work overtime on short notice when necessary to complete a job. Assembly and Installation of a wide range of industrial products o Conveyor systems, production machinery, packaging equipment, etc. o Precision placement using, hoists, lifts, and forklifts to move and position equipment accurately. o Integrate mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components to ensure full system functionality. o Conduct operational tests and run initial batches to verify that machines meet safety and quality standards. o Dismantle, categorize, and package equipment when clearing floor space or moving systems to new facilities. o Document and maintain accurate records of installation activities, inventory, and customer information. o Manage crew while on site. Required Skills and Qualifications o Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering blue prints, and complex schematics. o Ability to coordinate with customer/GC and be a professional POC on site o Hands on experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices. o Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. o Experience in on site welding and fabrication o Ability to manage tasks, and delegate work to crew. o Ability to have a strong attention to detail o Stamina for physically demanding work, including the ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights or in confined spaces.
