Job Summary This position is assigned to maintain and repair equipment and facilities in working order to minimize lost production time and ensure food safety. Equipment will vary and be unique to individual plants. Key Responsibilities and Authority 1. Maintenance will ensure equipment is properly maintained. Breakdowns will be repaired in a timely manner. 2. Must be able to trouble shoot non-working equipment, installation of new equipment, preventative maintenance activities, and properly handling and caring for tools and shop area. Notify management when repairs are outside the scope of the maintenance staff. 3. Required to maintain proper inventory levels of parts to minimize lost production. 4. Must be able to repair basic electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic equipment. Basic PLC process may vary from location. 5. Provide back up to other positions in the plant to cover for absences, vacations or heavy work load. 6. Required to be forklift certified. 7. Attend all safety huddles and safety meetings and actively participate in discussion and help identify ways to improve safety. 8. Attend and actively participate in other staff meetings regarding Quality and Food Safety, Lean manufacturing, customer service, annual training or other topics. 9. Ensure housekeeping of your work area and other assigned portions of the plant is completed as specified in AQS-FD policies and QFS SOPs. 10. Notify the Plant Manager, Superintendent or Supervisor of any product or process not meeting company standards to reduce the chance of product claims, required re-work or other things that reduce efficiency. Physical Requirements:

Be able to routine lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift Must be able to perform the functions of the job while exposed to various weather and environmental conditions. Be able to climb catwalks, stairs and ladders to check feed & ingredient bins. Must be able to perform basic math operations: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
