Job Title:

Floater Job Description We are seeking a skilled laborer for the 1st shift to ensure that our machinery and workpieces meet the highest standards. Your role will be integral in maintaining the quality and precision of our production processes. Responsibilities Inspect machinery and workpieces to ensure they comply with specifications, reducing malfunctions and production loss. Dress grinding wheels according to specifications to maintain peak machine capability. Stop machines upon discovering problems and make adjustments quickly to minimize impact. Provide quality control by inspecting workpieces and removing defective pieces. Operate machinery, including polishing and grinding equipment, to ensure metal workpieces meet prescribed specifications. Finish products by hand using tools to ensure surfaces are properly filed or finished. Keep equipment running by inspecting, performing basic maintenance, and scheduling necessary repairs. Perform basic repairs, including replacing worn or broken parts within the expected scope of knowledge. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41000.00 - $57000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
