Job Summary Join our dynamic manufacturing facility as a Machine Shop Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our machinery and equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery, utilizing your technical expertise to keep production running efficiently and safely. Duties for Machine Shop Maintenance Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machine shop equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and welding stations. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Repair or replace faulty components on programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrical systems, and high-voltage circuits to minimize downtime. Operate and maintain precision measuring instruments to ensure machinery meets quality standards. Conduct welding tasks for repairs or fabrication projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Assist with field service activities including troubleshooting equipment in various parts of the facility or at customer sites when necessary. Support HVAC/R systems maintenance to ensure optimal climate control within the manufacturing environment. Safely operate equipment such as scissor lifts for elevated maintenance tasks while adhering to safety regulations. Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams for complex machinery repairs or installations. Skills for Machine Shop Maintenance Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with strong industrial mechanic skills. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and industrial electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage circuits. Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, HVAC/R systems, welding (including, welding), and precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking and reporting. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures quickly. Experience working with industrial electricians on complex electrical issues involving high voltage systems. Demonstrated customer service skills when collaborating with team members or supporting field service activities. Familiarity with safety standards related to industrial maintenance including lockout/tagout procedures and high-voltage safety protocols. Please respond with a resume or any questions you may have!
