Job Title:
DAS Field EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated DAS Field Engineer to join our team. This role involves hands-on commissioning, integrations, and activations of various cellular systems. You will interact with customers and co-workers daily, providing prompt and detailed updates. This position will require travel to various job sites within Maryland and surrounding regions. Responsibilities
  • Lead the commissioning, integration, and activation of cellular systems.
  • Perform system tests using tech phones, RF scanners, spectrum analyzers, transmitters, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Act as a customer-facing representative, conducting site surveys and in-depth walkthroughs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and follow up on tasks.
  • Work hands-on with system components such as antennas, fiber optics, coax, and RF amplifiers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems for optimal performance, including isolating external noise interference and conducting PIM and OTDR testing.
  • RF principles and theories, including signal path, radio frequency power, frequency bands, system noise, and modulation types.
  • Multi-task on projects daily.
  • Participate in monthly meetings to review project profitability and business unit results.
  • Travel to job sites within Maryland and surrounding regions.
Essential Skills
  • Significant RF experience.
  • Proficiency with test equipment, particularly spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong knowledge of DAS systems and architecture.
  • Experience with PIM testing, fiber optics, and TEKO systems.
  • Experience leading teams
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 6+ years of related experience, with 10+ years preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Master's degree or a minor in business is a plus.
  • OEM training on different DAS architectures (TEKO, SOLiD, Commscope).
  • Knowledge of various wireless technologies (4G, 5G).
  • Comfortable working in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of RF optimization techniques.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves replacing failed remotes, PIM testing, return loss testing, and fiber testing in the field. The role is based in Lanham, Maryland, covering DC, northern Virginia, and Maryland areas, including airports and WMATA sites. You will spend 75% of the time in the field and 25% in the office. A proactive and hands-on approach is essential to understand the work and identify efficiencies, especially during the initial months.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lanham, MD.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.07 - $57.69/hr.
