Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Refrigeration Engineer/Operator/Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems across our facilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, troubleshoot complex systems, and contribute to property maintenance excellence. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering top-tier service in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will help us maintain optimal climate control, refrigeration integrity, and mechanical functionality to support our operational needs. Compensation will be based on experience.
Position Location:
To be determined at one of our locations. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units and HVAC equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning units, boilers, plumbing systems, and other mechanical equipment to ensure efficiency and safety. Conduct field service operations involving appliance repair, equipment repair, welding, and component replacement as needed. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments to identify electrical faults or mechanical failures. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs for compliance and future reference. Support property maintenance tasks by ensuring all refrigeration and HVAC systems operate reliably while adhering to safety standards. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic with a focus on refrigeration, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), or related mechanical systems. Hands-on experience working with construction projects involving HVAC design or plumbing systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and electrical wiring diagrams essential for troubleshooting complex systems. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems or other specialized refrigerants is a strong plus. Demonstrated ability to perform equipment repair using welding techniques or mechanical tools in a safe manner. Experience in property maintenance roles involving air conditioning units, boilers, or appliance repair is advantageous. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required for field service operations. $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
