Job Description

You know how to troubleshoot the tough problems, handle customers, and get the job done right. Maybe you're already the person other technicians come to when they need help. You're solving problems, training others, and taking on more responsibility—but you're still looking for that next step. You know you're capable of more. At AirTech HVAC, we're looking for an experienced and driven Service Manager who is ready to step up, lead a team, and help us continue growing. We're a focused, growth-oriented, second-generation family business that has been serving the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding communities since 1988. We have a strong customer base, effective systems, first-class training, reliable equipment, and the tools you need to succeed. Now, we're looking for someone who can help us take our service department to the next level. What You'll Be Doing As our Service Manager, you'll play a key role in leading our service operations and developing a high-performing team. You'll be responsible for: Leading, managing, and developing our HVAC service technicians Overseeing troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and installations Providing technical support for complex HVAC/R issues and helping technicians solve difficult problems Coaching technicians on electrical diagnostics, refrigeration, mechanical systems, and equipment troubleshooting Improving technician performance, productivity, and customer experience Driving service revenue and department profitability through strong team performance and accountability Coaching technicians on presenting honest repair and replacement options to homeowners Monitoring service department performance and key metrics Resolving customer concerns and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction Evaluating team performance and identifying training and development opportunities Providing hands-on and on-the-job training to help technicians continue improving Ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are available for scheduled work Managing and monitoring vehicle and equipment maintenance Promoting a strong culture of safety and ensuring company policies and procedures are followed Working with company leadership to improve processes and support continued growth What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who knows HVAC; but also knows how to lead people, solve problems, and get results.
