Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Responsible for the repairs, maintenance, upkeep and replacement of the property's refrigeration and heat/air conditioning equipment in accordance with resort standards. Will assist in other areas of Engineering as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  • Resolve guest and resident complaints, ensuring guest and resident satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Receive daily work assignments from Engineering Management and review priorities and special projects.
  • Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.
  • Maintain time lines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
  • Check work orders and night report for any problems. Make rounds checking these problem areas and note any information needed or safety concerns in the resort.
  • Schedule work in accordance with preventive maintenance program in rooms, coordinating with Housekeeping Management and Front Office.
  • Maintain par stock levels of standard fixtures and other supplies.
  • Operate, maintain and repair or replace of the property's heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems.

Perform preventative maintenance on:
1. Fan coils, air handlers and related system controls (thermostats, ducting, etc.) 2. All guest and resident room heating and air conditioning units. 3. H.V.A.C. and refrigeration equipment. 2. Maintain complete working knowledge of the latest techniques in electrical installation, maintenance, replacement or repair of refrigeration/HVAC services, fixtures, and equipment. 3. Exercise safety precautions when working on equipment (use of safety signs, etc.). 4. Prepare and complete any and all logs, service requests, paperwork, etc. required. 5. Maintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance and storage of all tools. 6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to include: 1. Inventories 2. Requisition (receipt and storage) 3. Trash removal and clean up 7. Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces. 8. Ensure security of any assigned keys. 9. Initiate cost estimates of labor and materials for specific projects. 10. Ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts. 11. Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving.
