As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Refrigeration HVAC Service Diesel Technician. The role of the Refrigeration HVAC Service Diesel Technician is responsible performs all functions of a fully qualified transport refrigeration mechanic under minimal supervision. Performs skilled and complicated mechanical work on transport refrigeration equipment and related components with minimum supervision. Performs trouble shooting on major problems. Works with and helps train apprentice technicians. Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools. Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary. Maintains favorable relations with customers. Masters the techniques needed to use a laptop computer to test microprocessors. Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position. Qualifications Minimum three years hands-on experience and on-the-job training in a related mechanical field. Basic understanding of how to read a wiring diagram/schematic At least one year of HVAC experience preferred Minimum one year of diesel engine experience Education - Graduate of vocational course or experience and training equivalent. A/C Certification. Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities. CDL preferred.
