Job Description

Job Summary Are you ready to lead in a fast-paced environment and keep your cool under pressure? Doyles Sheehan is looking for a Fulfillment Freezer Lead to oversee daily operations within our frozen and cold-storage fulfillment department. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for the freezer team, managing inventory staging, ensuring perfect loading accuracy, and guiding your crew to success each night. If you have a strong eye for detail, deep warehouse knowledge, and don't mind a sub-zero work environment, we want you on our team! Essential Duties & Responsibilities As the Fulfillment Freezer Lead, your core focus will center on the frozen department's nightly productivity, safety, and workflow:
Team Leadership & Tasks:
Delegate tasks to the crew in your assigned department to ensure daily productivity and a smooth workflow.
Freezer Training:
Train new employees in the specific department functions of the fulfillment team per company guidelines, including specialized warehouse equipment training.
Frozen Load Quality Control:
Take full ownership of ensuring frozen and cooler pallets are wrapped and loaded each night correctly so they are on the correct trucks, faced the right way.
Process Improvement:
Maintain a thorough and deep understanding of the expectations and processes of leading your department, and assist with feedback for process refinement and efficiency.
Warehouse Excellence:
Oversee and ensure that end-of-shift cleaning has been completed throughout the freezer. Step in to cover any other area or responsibility as designated by management.
Qualifications & Required Skills Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience:
Strong knowledge of warehouse practices, procedures, and material handling equipment.
Communication:
Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with management and other needed departments daily.
Operational Stamina:
Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established quotas, maintaining acceptable performance, and arriving at your station on time and prepared. You must also be responsible for the daily completion of assigned tasks and annual self-reviews.
Background :
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen . Physical Requirements & Work Environment This position is a highly physical, active role centered around our cold-storage operations:
Temperature Tolerance:
Must be able to tolerate temperatures ranging from -20 degrees in the freezer to 115 degrees in the truck van.
Endurance:
Ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for up to 12 or more hours per day. Frequent and quick use of hands and feet is required while handling product.
Strength:
Must be able to lift and transport a minimum of 30 lbs on a consistent basis and up to 70 lbs intermittently. Crates, cases, boxes, and totes weighing up to 35 lbs are lifted and carried frequently, while heavier items up to 60 lbs (such as cases of yogurt and liquids) are handled rarely.
Agility & Reach:
Ability to stoop, twist, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach at, below, or above shoulder level. Occasional climbing of stairs and step ladders using three points of contact is required.
Equipment Force:
A hand grip force of at least 50 lbs in both dominant and non-dominant hands is necessary to grip equipment handles and handle freight. Occasional pulling of a 2-wheeled hand truck or pushing/pulling a pallet jack requires physical force ranging from 50 to 75 lbs.
