Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Process Safety Management (PSM) Specialist coordinates and maintains the Process Safety Management written compliance plan (WCP), OSHA 1910.119 and
EPA 40 CFR
section 68, policies, processes and procedures to mitigate risk of accidental releases of hazardous chemicals. This role ensures work and operations are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures, regulatory agency (OSHA, EPA, IIAR, etc.) and federal, state and local legal requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Conduct annual internal mechanical integrity inspections, hazard analyses, audits, incident investigation, mechanical integrity inspections Coordinate Mechanical Integrity program inspection plans, with the assistance of the maintenance manager for the issuance of repair work orders and inspection project management. Verifies the completion of refrigeration work orders and inspections Address and track all regulatory recommendations from inspections, hazard analysis, audits and incident investigation to completion Maintenance and organization of Process Safety Information (piping & instrumentation drawings, equipment files, process flow diagrams, PSI calculations, relief valve data, plot plans, etc.) Assist refrigeration operators with the development and maintenance of Operating Procedures Administer and maintain PSM/RMP recordkeeping documentation as required by company, regulatory, codes and industry policies Coordinate with Compliance Department for maintenance and administration of the Emergency Response Planning Program and
HAZWOPER
training for response team personnel Coordinate facility PSM training program for refrigeration operators and technicians Perform additional relevant duties as assigned EDUCATION and
CERTIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent; applicable vocational school training preferred
RETA CARO
certification preferred
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Minimum two (2) years clerical experience; experience in manufacturing safety, ammonia refrigeration preferred Knowledge of OSHA safety standards including but not limited to 1910.119 PSM Proficient computer skills with ability to enter data in a timely and accurate manner; knowledge of EAM-PM and AutoCAD a preferred Ability to communicate (both written and verbal) to all levels of the organization and ability to communicate issues and resolve in an effective and efficient manner Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency

Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
