Job Description
Refrigeration Mechanic Overview We're looking for a hands-on Refrigeration Mechanic to join our maintenance team. Training will be provided under a master Ammonia Technician. In this role, you'll help keep our refrigeration and HVAC systems running smoothly so operations stay efficient and on track. If you enjoy troubleshooting, working with industrial systems, and being part of a strong team, this could be a great fit. What You'll Do Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration and air conditioning systems Inspect key components like compressors, evaporators, valves, and filters Monitor boilers, water treatment systems, and airflow Install and replace pumps, switches, safety controls, and other components Troubleshoot and repair piping, fittings, and refrigeration equipment Support larger repair projects, equipment installs, and plant upgrades Handle advanced tasks like isolating ammonia lines, replacing valves/pumps, and calibrating systems Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized Assist with parts ordering and documentation Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in refrigeration or industrial maintenance Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and equipment manuals Experience with refrigeration systems, boilers, or ammonia compressors Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment Willingness to be trained on Hazmat procedures and safety equipment (APR/SCBA) Ability to obtain a boiler and forklift license Nice to Have EPA certification (Universal preferred) HVAC or refrigeration experience Fabrication or electrical experience Why This Role Monday-Friday, 8-hour schedule (no rotating shifts) Competitive pay Growing company new to the Fargo area Opportunities to learn, grow, and advance Work Environment This role is a mix of plant and indoor work.
