Job Description
Job Title:
Refrigeration technician for Chiller Units for Data Centers Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. $25 - $30 depending on experience Job Description This role installs, assembles, and maintains commercial and industrial refrigeration piping systems. You will perform layout and fabrication, braze and solder piping and related components, and prepare systems for pressure and leak testing to support commissioning. You ensure all work meets applicable codes, safety requirements, and project specifications while working independently or as part of an installation team. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration piping systems according to project specifications and applicable codes. Perform piping layout and fabrication, including cutting, fitting, and aligning components for refrigeration systems. Braise and solder copper and other piping materials using proper refrigeration piping techniques. Install valves, fittings, and related refrigeration components to complete piping assemblies. Prepare systems for pressure and leak testing to support system commissioning and verify integrity of installations. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams to plan and execute installations. Work independently or with an installation team to complete projects safely, on time, and to quality standards. Follow all safety procedures and best practices while working with tools, equipment, and pressurized systems. Use hand and power tools, ladders, and lifting techniques to install piping in a variety of environments. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work and resolve installation issues. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience in pipefitting, refrigeration piping, or HVAC/R installation. Proficiency in brazing for refrigeration applications, including copper and related materials. Proficiency in refrigeration piping techniques for commercial and industrial systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as required by the job. Ability to climb ladders and work in various environments and positions as needed. Strong attention to detail to ensure code-compliant, safe, and high-quality installations. Ability to work both independently and as part of an installation team. Additional Skills & Qualifications EPA 608 Certification preferred. Previous trade school education or apprenticeship in refrigeration, HVAC/R, or pipefitting preferred. Experience working with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems is a plus. Comfort using a variety of hand and power tools for piping installation and fabrication. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot installation challenges. Commitment to safety and adherence to company and industry safety standards. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Grove, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
