Job Description
Independent 1099 After Hours HVAC & Refrigeration Technician HMCB is seeking experienced and dependable Independent 1099 HVAC & Refrigeration Technicians to support after hours, overnight, emergency, and weekend service requests for commercial facilities in your area. We are looking for skilled professionals with strong experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. This is an excellent opportunity for self-motivated technicians seeking flexible work opportunities with a growing facility management company serving commercial clients nationwide. Position Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems Service and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including reach in coolers, freezers, walk in units, ice machines, and related systems Respond to emergency HVAC and refrigeration service requests during evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays Perform preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential equipment failures Repair and replace compressors, motors, contactors, relays, capacitors, thermostats, controls, and related components Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues affecting HVAC and refrigeration equipment Conduct system performance testing and verify proper operating conditions Accurately document completed work orders, findings, materials used, and job status updates Communicate professionally with clients, tenants, and dispatch coordinators Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards Manage service schedules efficiently while maintaining response time expectations Identify additional repair needs and report facility concerns proactively Requirements Proven experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems EPA Certification required Must have your own tools, diagnostic equipment, and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and manage emergency service calls efficiently Must be available for after hours, weekends, and emergency service requests Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills Professional appearance and communication skills Valid driver's license and current insurance required Smartphone or tablet for work order communication and updates Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial facility maintenance environments Experience working with work order management or dispatch systems EPA 608 certified is preferred OSHA certification preferred Manufacturer certifications preferred Multi site commercial service experience highly preferred About
