In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial refrigeration systems across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure that refrigeration equipment operates efficiently, reliably, and safely, supporting the success of our clients' operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in property maintenance and HVAC/R systems. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration units, including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Conduct routine maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan. Perform plumbing and electrical work related to refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to identify electrical or mechanical faults. Weld or perform equipment repairs as needed, including working with boilers or other mechanical components. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all repairs and maintenance activities. Experience Proven experience as a service technician specializing in commercial refrigeration or HVAC/R systems. Construction experience or background in property maintenance is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, plumbing, welding, and equipment repair. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, ammonia refrigeration systems, and air conditioning units. Field service experience working directly on refrigeration units in commercial settings. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred. Knowledge of Ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools used for electrical troubleshooting. Experience working with boilers or other mechanical systems related to HVAC/R environments is a plus.
