Our mission is to maintain the highest quality of fruit while using a variety of refrigeration technologies, while practicing the highest level of safety. To ensure success as a Refrigeration Technician, we are looking for an individual that has intimate knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems. Included in this we are searching for good mechanical skills, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to repair and maintain refrigeration equipment with the least amount of downtime.
Refrigeration Technician Responsibilities:
Perform daily checks of refrigeration systems ensuring they are operating within design parameters. Work with management to ensure that systems are operating at the desired specifications for each specific need. Maintaining and operating Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage systems and ensuring that rooms are operating within the guidelines provided for the specific storage regime. Opening and Closing CA rooms as directed by management. Performing off-season maintenance on CA Storages, Cold Rooms, Engine Rooms, and their associated components. Working with management on timelines of maintenance and when the maintenance could occur to be the least impactful to the overall operation. Maintain logs and checklists to ensure that all systems remain in compliance. The ability to read and interpret such documents as blueprints, compliance schematics, safety instructions, and operating manuals. Troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures. Other duties as required.
Refrigeration Technician Requirements:
High School diploma or GED Previous experience or education in R-717 and/or Freon-Glycol systems The ability to maintain record and report information as required by auditing agencies pertaining to refrigeration and CA systems. Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills. The ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions and indoors in refrigerated conditions (30 to 38° F) Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing. Ability to operate, or be trained to operate, equipment needed to fulfill job responsibilities, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule, as required. Excellent Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must. Fabrication skills are a plus.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
