Love bikes and sustainability? The UAF Green Bikes program is hiring a mechanic and shop assistant to keep our shop running smoothly. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and promoting eco-friendly transportation on campus. No prior mechanic experience needed—training is provided! The Green Bikes Mechanic and Shop Assistant supports the UAF Green Bikes program by performing bike repairs, assisting with rentals, and maintaining an organized and welcoming shop space. This role combines hands-on mechanic work with customer service, outreach, and basic administrative support. Training is provided, and a passion for biking and sustainability is a plus. Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant must be enrolled as a UAF student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform hands-on tasks in a shop environment.

This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Fairbanks.. This is a Student Assistant 2 Position, minimum starting pay is $14.96 per hour.
