Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician/ shop steward to join our team on a part time basis. Perfect job for someone retired and looking to get out of the house a couple days a week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engine repair, equipment maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Experience with diesel engines, automotive repair, and electrical systems is highly valued. The technician will work with a variety of tools and schematics to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawnmowers, generators, and other outdoor power equipment Perform routine maintenance and inspections on various equipment and engines Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Repair diesel engines, generators, and other heavy machinery as needed Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks when applicable Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency Follow safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment handling Experience Service technician background preferred Proven experience with automotive or equipment repair, including small engines Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, and diesel engine repair techniques Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and heavy lifting required
