Job Description

Velocity Aerospace Group is a subsidiary of Precision Aviation Group (PAG), a full service, inventory supported MRO provider in the aviation industry with 21 domestic and international business units. Velocity operates 3 repair stations, specializing in the repair, overhaul, installation and upgrade of electromechanical, digital, pneumatic, avionic, and gyroscopic components for aircraft operators and maintainers in the commercial/regional airline, government and defense operation, business and general aviation markets. Our Burbank, California facility has an opening for an experienced Avionics Technician. You will test, troubleshoot, diagnose component level repair and modify a variety of aviation instruments and accessories to ensure perfect function and provide the customer with reliable and highest quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities include:
Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits to component level Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical orders Analyze malfunctions using electronic test equipment, schematics and technical publications Collaborate with team members for efficient and effective work environment Complete all required paperwork related to repairs performed Maintain a clean and orderly work area on a daily basis Ideal candidates offers: Minimum 3 years' experience in electronic repair Experience with oscilloscope, multimeters, soldering wires and connectors, operation of various crimping tools, wire stripping, continuity testing, pinning out a military type connector, routing and tie wrapping cables, drilling and tapping holes and building junction boxes Intermediate knowledge of computers (Windows) Ability to understand verbal/written instructions in English Knowledge in the development of comprehensive project plans
Physical Requirement:
frequently standing; walking, lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, visual acuity to inspect small components and detailed repairs, manuals, dexterity to work with and on small tools and component parts We offer competitive pay and variety of benefits.
