Full Job Description Overview:
The Cabinet Service Technician / Warranty Specialist I is responsible for servicing, repairing, and adjusting cabinetry in new and existing homes, as well as performing homeowner warranty stops to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Perform service calls and warranty work on installed cabinets, including adjustments, repairs, and replacements. Conduct homeowner warranty stops to address concerns and ensure customer satisfaction. Assist with punch-out lists, final inspections, and quality control. Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and field managers to resolve issues effectively. Document all service work completed and report findings to the Field Coordinator and Field Manager. Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and safe condition. Learn and apply cabinet installation techniques, service standards, and warranty processes under supervision. Support senior technicians as needed while growing into next level of service role. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Skills:
Prior experience in carpentry, cabinetry, finish work, or related trades preferred but not required (will train the right candidate). Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication and customer service abilities. Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Demands:
Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors, where employees are prepared to handle all types of weather conditions. The work environment may include damp, noisy, dirty, dusty, hot, cold, or drafty conditions. Employees are expected to stand, bend, stoop, and work in challenging positions for extended periods. Employee may lift and carry cabinets and materials weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as move, maneuver, push, or slide items into the correct positions. For heavier items, teamwork or the use of dollies is encouraged to ensure safety and efficiency. All employees are required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for their specific job and work area, as directed by company policy. This includes essential protective eyewear and hearing devices.
