Caulking Full Job Description Overview:
The Cabinet Service Technician / Warranty Specialist II is responsible for servicing, repairing, and adjusting cabinetry in new and existing homes, as well as performing homeowner warranty stops to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. Must have strong carpentry and problem-solving skills, comfortable working directly with homeowners, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service.Responsibilities:
Perform service, repair, and adjustments on installed cabinetry (including doors, drawers, hardware, moldings, and finishes). Conduct homeowner warranty stops, addressing concerns and ensuring issues are resolved to company standards. Inspect completed installations for quality and compliance with project requirements. Diagnose issues such as alignment, functionality, or cosmetic defects and implement effective solutions. Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and Field Managers to provide updates and recommendations. Maintain a clean, organized work area and respect homeowner property at all times. Document all work performed, including service notes, parts used, and follow-up requirements. Order and track replacement parts as needed. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience in cabinetry, finish carpentry, or related field (cabinet service/installation experience preferred). Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, hardware, and installation techniques. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices accurately. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple service calls. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Experience working with warranty service programs in residential construction. Basic finishing/touch-up skills (paint, stain, caulking, etc.). Knowledge of builder processes and homeowner warranty standards.Physical Demands:
Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors, where employees are prepared to handle all types of weather conditions. The work environment may include damp, noisy, dirty, dusty, hot, cold, or drafty conditions. Employees are expected to stand, bend, stoop, and work in challenging positions for extended periods. Employee may lift and carry cabinets and materials weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as move, maneuver, push, or slide items into the correct positions. Employee may perform physical tasks required for cabinet repair and adjustment. For heavier items, teamwork or the use of dollies is encouraged to ensure safety and efficiency. All employees are required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for their specific job and work area, as directed by company policy. This includes essential protective eyewear and hearing devices.
