Job Description

Overview Byington Electric is looking for an experienced Electrical Repair Technician to join our San Francisco crew. This role is for a highly independent, motivated electrician who is comfortable working alone, troubleshooting electrical issues, and managing a busy daily workload with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is smart, dependable, friendly, and takes ownership of their work. You should be able to come into the office, review the day's workload, head into the field, and complete multiple service calls efficiently and professionally. This is not a training position. We are looking for someone with strong hands-on electrical repair and troubleshooting experience who can step into the role and work independently.
Pay range:
$30-$40 per hour, depending on experience. Duties Complete approximately 3-7 electrical service and repair calls per day throughout San Francisco Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, including dead circuits, tripping breakers, loss of power, and other electrical faults Repair and replace outlets, switches, light fixtures, breakers, and other electrical components Work independently and manage daily service calls with minimal supervision Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, property managers, and tenants Clearly explain electrical issues and completed repairs when necessary Maintain a clean, professional, and organized work area Assist with conduit installation and other electrical work on larger projects between service calls Take ownership of assigned jobs and follow them through to completion Maintain consistent attendance and a strong work ethic Requirements Strong electrical repair and troubleshooting experience Must be able to work independently without ongoing training or supervision Excellent electrical diagnostic and problem-solving skills High level of initiative and ability to make decisions in the field Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers, property managers, and tenants Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to travel between multiple job sites throughout San Francisco Comfortable handling a fast-paced workload and multiple service calls per day Ability to assist with conduit installation and general electrical work when needed California electrical certification or licensing is not required for this position.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
