Are you looking for an exciting and challenging career? If so, you may be what Optical Illusions is looking for in a Receptionist | Technician | Optometric Assistant! Job Duties include (but are not limited to): Assisting with administrative duties: answering and responding to patient communications (text, email, phone), prepping upcoming patient files, appointment scheduling, filling records requests, verifying and interpreting insurance benefits, preparing and sending referrals for patient care, etc Checking in patients and performing examination pre-testing and medical history for each patient appointment Maintaining/cleaning of glasses and ophthalmic equipment/machines and exam room (cleaning, organizing, restocking) Training contact lens patients who are first-time wearers on proper insertion and removal of contacts Assisting patients with frame styling, optical lens selection, processing insurance orders, etc. Prepping patients for specialty procedures and assisting the doctor with treatments We offer a competitive benefits package for

We are looking to train the right charismatic individual for this role, so experience is preferred but not necessary. Trainings made be held in other locations in San Mateo or San Jose as needed. Weekends required. Certification as a Paraoptometric available after the first year and additional certification levels are obtainable which can lead to increased compensation.
