The Vansmith is Colorado's foremost adventure van building company, headquartered in Boulder, CO. As a rapidly expanding entrepreneurial enterprise, we specialize in crafting bespoke adventure vans and are recognized as trailblazers in the outdoor industry.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a hands-on Service Technician to join our team. This role requires solid mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Experience working with vehicles — such as installing or servicing suspension components, exterior parts, or similar systems — is highly valued. You'll assist with a variety of installation and service tasks, including heaters, windows, lighting, and other van-specific components. No prior van or RV experience is required — we'll provide training for the right mechanically minded individual who's eager to learn and grow within our team.
Responsibilities:
Assist with installation and service of van components such as heaters, windows, suspension parts, and lighting. Perform mechanical work including fitting and securing exterior components. Diagnose and resolve issues with van systems and components. Conduct research as needed using manuals, videos, or manufacturer resources to identify solutions. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure project success. Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
Hands-on mechanical experience with vehicles or similar systems. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools . Ability to follow installation guides and technical instructions. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new systems. Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work well in a team environment.
