PROJECT MANAGER Compensation for this role: $25.00 to $50.00 depending on experienceOVERVIEW
The Service Technician in the Technology Solutions department supervises apprentices and journeymen, taking ultimate accountability for project or subset of project. This position directs the tasks of journeymen and apprentice electricians and participates in residential/commercial/industrial/ electrical construction and service work. General Responsibilities- Works with a commitment to safety

Specific Responsibilities:
- Represent Encore Electric, Inc. to the client by a clean and neat appearance on the job including all Encore branded items
- Treat client with highest degree of respect and works to develop a partnership environment
- Investigate and problem solve to determine the most efficient way to install changes to existing service
- Perform electrical work alone, or with others, and make judgment calls in the field prior to contacting service managers
- Determine client needs and most effective way to meet them
- Estimate the general amount of time and material to complete service tasks
- Must communicate with Service Manager on a frequent basis regarding scheduling and work progress
- Obtain and order own commodity material and some non-commodity material
- Work well around building owners and tenants to perform job representing Encore in a professional manner
- Determine what is necessary to accomplish tasks and meet NEC and
NFPA 70E
standards as well as any other requirements as per the Authority Having Jurisdiction while meeting budgetary guidelines- Communicate with vendors, service managers and other contractors to assure jobs are completed within scope and budget
- Contact clients to confirm appointments set by service manager
- Follow up with service manager to obtain job numbers
- Must make every effort to meet budget
- Understand the scope of work quoted by obtaining information on the estimate from the service manager
- Notify service manager if changes to scope are being requested or required
- Must be flexible with hours, shifts and geographic locations with reasonable notice, such as: o On-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 2 weeks every 3 months o Work is performed throughout the State and could possibly be throughout the Western United States
- Responsible to make sure company vehicle is properly cleaned and maintained
- Responsible for continuing their education within the electrical field and in their career path
- Maintain clean, proper tools and inventory ensuring equipment is in good working order
- Use tech support and company resources to troubleshoot problems
- Must adhere to strict attendance requirements and dress in appropriate company attire Specific Responsibilities for AV
- Must have experience interfacing with clients and contractors
- Must have some experience with various AV control systems ex: (Crestron, Xtron & QSC etc.)
- Must be familiar with testing equipment ex: continuity testing and signal testing
- Experience with networks
- 1-2 years as an AV technician preferred Specific Responsibilities for Security
- High level of experience with Access Control and/or IP Video installations, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting preferably Milestone & Open Options
- Basic network configuration
- Creating processes to break complex projects down to their component levels
- Solid understanding of common industry tools including applicable testing equipment
- Verifying security system functionality by testing equipment, connections and signals
- Willingness to participate in an afterhours on-call rotation schedule
- 1-2 years as a physical security technician required Specific Responsibilities for Telecom
- Read and interpret detailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and method of procedures (MOPs)
- Install Frame and rack builds
- Run multiple cable types including power, fiber, and network transmission; Use a variety of specific connectors and terminating procedures Lacing, stitching, sewing cables
- Terminate DC power, rectifiers, PDUs, BDFB/BDCBBs, inverters, converters, rand associated infrastructure used in telecommunications networks
- Terminate cables using RJ45 connectors Specific Responsibilities for BAS
- Commercial HVAC trouble shooting skills
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, towers, chillers, metering system steam, electric, CO, air flows, VAV systems, etc.
- Proficient with test meters and wiring diagrams
- Installation of controllers, communications wiring, conduit and field devices in workman like manner
- Attend project specific progress meetings as needed and forward pertinent information to PM
- Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation system and components according to service agreement contracts
- Complete and submit written service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity Performs other duties as assigned

- Technical knowledge of major and minor electrical materials and their uses

- Wiring systems and how to perform all phases of project installation
