Job Summary STS Group is seeking a Security Systems Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain physical security equipment, alarm systems, CCTV systems, access control systems, and branch automation equipment throughout South Florida. This position combines installation and service responsibilities and offers opportunities for growth and advancement for employees who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, initiative, and leadership. Essential Responsibilities & Duties Install, configure, program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain alarm systems, CCTV systems, and access control systems. Pull, route, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling. Install and configure cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and network-connected security devices. Configure software and hardware associated with security and branch automation equipment. Install, move, service, and repair physical security equipment, including safes, ATMs, drive-thru equipment, safe deposit boxes, and night depositories. Diagnose and resolve equipment failures, communication issues, and customer-reported service concerns. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on customer equipment. Read and interpret installation drawings, wiring diagrams, and project documentation. Complete service tickets, installation documentation, diagnostic reports, and project closeout paperwork. Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, diagnostics, and repairs performed. Educate customers on the proper use and operation of installed equipment when appropriate. Maintain an accurate inventory of company-issued tools, replacement parts, and equipment. Maintain company vehicles, electronic devices, and tools in a clean and professional manner. Follow all company safety procedures, installation standards, and service processes. Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, vendors, and management. Represent STS Group in a professional manner at all times. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment with assistance when necessary. Ability to work from ladders and above ceiling spaces. Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in non-climate-controlled environments. Ability to use pallet jacks, dollies, and other material handling equipment. Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods. Travel Requirements This position primarily supports customers throughout South Florida. Daily travel within the assigned service territory is required. Overnight travel is not a routine part of this position but may occasionally be required to support customer needs, installations, training, or special projects. Per diem is provided for qualifying overnight travel. Occasional overtime may be required to meet customer commitments. Qualifications & Skills Valid driver's license required. Must pass a motor vehicle record review and background check. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Intermediate computer skills required. Ability to learn new technologies and systems. Experience with alarm systems, CCTV, access control, low-voltage cabling, networking, telecommunications, or related technologies strongly preferred. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
