Job Description:
Under close supervision, performs skilled work in maintaining the City's public sanitary sewer collection system and its infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Experience in Public Utilities is desired. Must have FDEP Wastewater Collection Operator C License or the ability to obtain the license within 18 months. Requires a valid Florida CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement to be obtained within twelve (12) months of date of hire. Work is performed outside in the elements daily, often in conditions such as extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, and mud. Work involves performing tasks in uncomfortable and confined spaces with periodic exposure to a variety of hazards. Regularly lifts objects weighing over 40 pounds and occasionally lifts objects weighing up to 80 pounds. The above is a brief summary of information from the job description.
